XCalendar Privacy Policy
XCalendar takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains how the XCalendar app (the “App”) and website handle and protect information.
1. Calendars and Events
The App reads events from your Mac system calendars only after you allow access. The month panel shows the calendars you select. If reminders are enabled, the App also checks other calendars you have allowed so it does not miss an event that needs a reminder.
This information is handled only on your Mac. XCalendar does not upload calendar names, event titles, times, or other event details, and it does not change or delete events from your system calendars on your behalf.
You can turn off calendar access at any time in macOS System Settings. The basic month calendar will still work, but system events and holiday information will stop appearing or updating.
2. Notifications
Notifications are off by default. When enabled, the App asks for notification permission and reminds you on your Mac using the lead time you choose.
The App manages only reminders created by XCalendar that have not yet appeared. It does not send notifications to you over the internet. You can turn reminders off in the App or change notification access in macOS System Settings.
3. Preferences
Your menu bar display, week start, appearance, panel behavior, calendar selection, and reminder timing are saved on your Mac and are not synced online.
4. Website Data
You do not need to register or sign in to use the website. The website has no forms or payment features and does not track what you do on its pages.
The website provider may handle basic network access records needed to keep the site available. Those records are managed by the provider under its own privacy policy.
5. Sharing, Retention, and Deletion
XCalendar does not collect, sell, or share your calendar content or app settings. Your Mac system calendar manages calendar data. You can clear app settings and reminders that have not yet appeared through the App, System Settings, or by removing the App's related data.
Content is sent to another app or service only when you choose to use the system share feature. The receiving app or service then handles that content under its own privacy policy.
6. Policy Updates and Contact
If features, information handling, or applicable requirements change, XCalendar will update this policy, the update date, and the effective date.
